Click Next and the standard "New File" dialogue will appear.
This is where you'll name your new M.Y.O.B. data file and choose where to store it.
Choose the template that most closely matches (it doesn't have to be exact) your business. Click the zoom arrow to view the accounts. If you wish to enter your own accounts, choose "Build Your Own."
IMPORTANT! Make sure these entries are correct.
Everything else can be changed later, but once you accept these four entries they cannot be changed!
Most companies need only 12 accounting periods (one for each month). M.Y.O.B. allows an extra, 13th period for companies that usually make a significant number of year-end adjustments.
Choose the month in which you want to begin making day-to-day entries into M.Y.O.B. It can be any month of your current financial year.
Every business has a financial "year end." That's when they close their books for the year. Many business years end in March. If your financial year ENDS in some other month and/or year, change it now.
Enter your company name and address (plus VAT and Company Reg. Numbers.).
